Private tours of Pyramids, Mayan Village, & Cenote caves LiveZilla Live Help Share

Tour includes an option to stop at a small Mayan Village and visit a Mayan family house showing you a little about how the Mayan people live today. Here you can try a classic Yucatan chicken taco homemade and they can show you how they make tortillas. The family also offers a few handmade souvenirs. From there we go to 2 cenotes. Both are inside caves but are completely different. Bring your bath suits and towels as one has 2 platforms to jump in from (15 and 30 ft approx). There are a few little restaurants in the area that your driver can suggest to you for lunch (not included).

Itinerary:

  • Hotel pick up is up to you but I suggest 7-8 AM
  • Go to Ruins first, where you can hire a tour guide or just explore on your own.
  • Coba is located about 50 km west of Tulum, where you can climb the ruins and explore.
  • Mayan Village, Mayan family home: stop here to see modern-day Mayan life and handcrafts.
  • 2 Cenotes: Each very unique and beautiful...a refreshing stop to cool off.
  • Driver can suggest traditional Mexican restaurants.
  • Then transportation back to your hotel
Tour Includes:
  • Air-conditioned private transportation exclusively for your group
  • English speaking driver
  • All toll road and parking fees, entrance fees & taxes
  • Homemade Mayan snack (chicken taco)
  • Note: there is a small federal fee for video cams at Tulum & Coba

You and your group go directly from your hotel to begin your Mayan Culture experience. The private tours are for your group only and therefore you plan the day. We do not offer this tour as a public bus tour.

Official guides inside the ruins are not included and can be purchased at the entrance for a 90 minute tour. Tram in Tulum is 20 pesos per person.

    Guide in Tulum:
  • 1-4 people $500 pesos
  • 5-8 people $560 pesos
  • 9-12 people $620 pesos

Note: The price per adult drops when there are more adults in your group. That's because we have a fixed cost to pay all the tolls, driver, etc. Use the red numbers to figure the price per ADULT (13 years old or more). Kid prices remain the same, regardless of number of adults. Kids age 5-12 are shown in orange. Kids under 5 are free. 10 people max per vehicle regardless of ages.
NOTE: If you are a total of 11 people (including kids) or more, please email us for a quote as you will need 2 or more vans.

FAQ:

What should we bring?
Walking shoes, a hat, camera, extra t-shirt, biodegradable sun screen, sunglasses, bathing suit/towel if going to cenotes, money for shopping and tips.

What kind of vehicle do we get? Does it have seats, insurance?
All vehicles have a/c. If you are less than 4 adults or a family of 4 we use a car and for 4 adults or more we use a van. The van holds 10 passengers. ALL passengers must have a seat belt. Therefore if you are 9 adults & 2 children you would need 2 vehicles. Vehicles must have Federal highway insurance & passenger insurance by law. If we are caught without it they take the vehicle. I can't speak for all companies but, the price of insurance is nothing compared to losing your vehicle.

Is there a deposit? What are the cancellation policies?
Yes we need a deposit of 15% and the cancellation policy is before 12 noon the day before the trip. WHY? Because we need to book the vehicle for the day. If we wait till 3 pm the day before to cancel the vehicle will have lost out doing services the next day. That is not fair to us or the driver who lives on tips. If cancelled in time, a full refund will be issued that day. I have the most flexible policy in Cancun PLUS you do not pre-pay in full. Cancellation Policy.

Do we go to a check in area first?
No. You are picked up from your hotel and taken directly to start your tour and dropped off at your hotel lobby after the tour.

Who do we pay the balance to?
On the morning of tour pay the balance to the driver in cash: US Dollars, Canadian Dollars (1=1), or Mexican Pesos (check with driver for current exchange rate). If you want to pay more than the 20% down payment today, please go ahead and send me an e-mail ... I do ask for 3% sur-fee to cover my credit card expense for payments in full.
